EXCELLENCE ON LAND AND OPEN-WATER
Designed for ship-to-shore missions, the SUPERAV can operate fully both in open-waters beyond sea state 3 and on land. The vehicle can carry a mission payload of up to 10 tonnes, given its top-class buoyancy levels.
In addition, the SUPERAV can mount an overhead weapon station with up to 40 mm calibre weapons, an advanced command and control suite and all the necessary mission equipment.
CHOSEN BY THE US MARINE CORPS
In 2011, IDV signed a teaming agreement with BAE Systems to offer the US Marine Corps a superior solution for their Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) programme, based on IDV’s SUPERAV platform. In 2018, the team was awarded the framework contract, with IDV being the design authority, intellectual property owner of the platform, and supplier of all core components and services.
BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD
In 2022, IDV signed a contract with the Italian Navy to supply an initial 36 Amphibious Armoured Vehicles (VBA), based on the SUPERAV platform.
After the US Marine Corps, the Italian Navy is the next Armed Force to adopt IDV’s amphibious platform.
With these two contracts in IDV’s order portfolio, the SUPERAV has come to the attention of other allied nations, seeking to upgrade their amphibious capabilities.
