PROTECTED, MOBILE, AMPHIBIOUS

GUARANI 6x6 - Amphibious Armoured Vehicle 6X6

The Guarani is a family of 20t 6×6 armoured, amphibious vehicles, developed jointly by Iveco Defence Vehicles and the Brazilian Army following the contract signed in 2009.

Fitted with an IVECO-FPT 9-litre, 279kW (380hp) bi-fuel common-rail engine, coupled to an automatic gearbox and fully independent McPherson type suspension system, the Guarani APC can carry up to 11 fully equipped personnel.

With dimensions 6.9 meters length, 2.7 meters width and 2.3 meters height, it can be transported by C-130 Hercules and KC-390 aircrafts.

This family of armoured vehicles can be equipped with manned and unmanned turrets carrying 5.56 to 30mm caliper weapons.

The modular approach to product development offers numerous advantages, from developing product variants without unnecessary re-engineering (reducing lead times and costs), to optimal power, protection and payload combinations, operational flexibility and support through improved maintainability and easy upgrade.

With different configurations to fulfil various roles from personnel carrier to command post, recovery, ambulance and reconnaissance, the Guarani family is geared to meet an entire range of operational needs.

Simple and robust, its design facilitates operational support and offers greater deployment and employment flexibility.

More than 500 units have been produced so far for a range of different End Users.
